Jason had the day off so we started out at the Botanical Gardens because we wanted to see the Scarecrow Trail. There were lots of really neat scarecrows and we even learned so scarecrow facts. For instance, did you know that three thousand years ago the first instance of a scarecrow in recorded history was along the Nile River to protect wheat fields from flocks of quail?

A neat dragon (or alligator...or dinosaur?)
This was the scariest scarecrow. Kind of gave me the creeps.
My favorite because it is from one of my favorite movies!

I'm not sure what kind of bush this is but I liked it.
It had beautiful, showy berries!

The scarecrow look becomes you! I hear it's all the rage at NY Fashion Week...
We can't wait to go to Tate Farms this year! The big tire mountain makes me nervous, though. You know my boys would be ALL OVER that!
Looking forward to Friday!
Love all the pictures!
